Excellence in Music Theory

This page documents some of my achievements in music theory.

My background includes 48 graduate hours in music theory, including 13 graduate hours in Schenkerian/linear analysis. For my master's degree, I wrote two separate theses: one in music theory and one in composition. Schenkerian analysis, jazz theory pedagogy, and the analysis of 20th-century music are among my particular interests.

Due to my teaching load at SMU as a 4+4 lecturer and the need to develop multiple new and reworked courses, my publications and conference presentations have been limited the past few years. However, these would resume their prior trajectory were I given the opportunity.
