From Parting Strengthens Poetry (1996)

Supper smiles,
scarlet sunsets,
kisses stolen in the dark,
Fridays,
coupon-supper nights,
park-green leaves around-about,
driving homeward, Christmas-bound.

Pictures only we can see
of days we lived awhile ago.

Breeze that skips on piney limbs,
starlit city streets,
moonlight baths
and reading peace,
Sunny Sunday smile — a dress.

Fill our home with laughter, Love,
cozy in the snowy night.

Friends, we shared
the years that passed.
