9. Aural theory

Aural skills are the application of music theory to hearing and notating music. These fundamental aural skills drills are helpful for those wanting to improve their application of music theory to singing using solfege syllables.

About these pages: Music theory is an integral part of great musicianship. This page contains music theory handouts and worksheets that I use when I teach music theory at the college level. They have helped my students learn music theory, and I hope they are helpful to you also as you begin to learn music theory as well. If you have absolutely no theory knowledge, you might want to go to musictheory.net and learn about clefs and staff notation before exploring here.
